Communication skills are key for researchers and often a challenging task when it comes to addressing a non-expert / general audience.
This is the second workshop in our « From bench smart to business smart » series that will also include a visit of the Biopôle start lab and super lab facilities
Workshop theme: "Communicate your value and get noticed"
Objectives: This workshop will help you to increase your communication skills and ability to have impact. You will be presented some simple tools and concepts around pitching and storytelling which you will be able to apply in 2 real case scenarios.
No pre-requiste knowledge required
This introductory course will cover the basic concepts of the drawing tools;
Managing path shapes and alignment; managing colors and gradient; Text tools;
Creating complex objects using Live Paint; Creating complex gradient using the
mesh tool; Layers management; Clipping masks; Brushes; Effect and appearance.
This course is held in collaboration with the UNIL Centre Informatique.
The workshop will feature interactive sessions and towards the end of the session, two FBM alumni will describe their experiences with applying for post-docs and what they do in their current roles.
There will also be time for a couple of participants to get live feedback on their own CV
