A coherent online profile on your professional networking site is the modern business card: it helps people identify who you are and what you are doing. Through discussion and practical exercises, we will focus on upgrading your online profile to reflect your professional identity, learn how to customize features in common networking sites, use key words and explore tips to connect with people and groups you want to share with.

From presentation design to performance and practice. Participants will use their own work to develop their strengths in presenting and discussing scientific data, and in communicating clearly and memorably.
Explore ways to make the time of the postdoc a more fulfilling experience. Together, we will investigate what it is that makes you thrive, what you cherish, and what you require to live with more fulfilment and happiness, not in some distant future but today and tomorrow. You will take a look at your work-life balance, discover what might be missing, listen to the experience of others, and together craft initial answers to these questions.
Priority for postdocs
In the workplace more often than not we find ourselves in situations where we would like to say No ...yet we end up saying yes, often out of fear of hurting people or destroying important relationships. In this workout, participants will learn the important and art of saying a 'positive no' through a simple, proven three-step technique.

Atelier d'une demi-journée sous forme de mini-présentations et de discussions en groupe.
Applying for roles beyond academia requires a toolbox for a different set of standards. We'll look at identifying the key criteria employers seek, adapting your CV to the role to hand, and finding your motivation for the cover letter. You'll prepare your own CV or cover letter in response to a job ad, and have the opportunity to review it with the trainer and other participants.
The first will be held in-room (Dorigny), the second session will be held online.

Research has a long tradition of being shared and developed through papers, meetings, conferences and conversations. Sharing research online is rapidly becoming part of the same process and is no different once you know how it is done. Whether in an academic or a non-academic research career, when you share on the various platforms you integrate into your daily workflows, you create new possibilities for research, collaborative partnerships and career opportunities.
This workshop is intended for postdoctoral researchers who want to continue their career in the international and/or private sector (for instance multinationals, NGO’s…). It will provide participants with information and practice on the different formats of interviews, how they can best prepare, and how to behave during the interview process.
