This workshop is designed for teachers and MERs who want to take a step back and look at their teaching with a view to improving it.

This workshop is based on the book  "Course Design" (Lanarès, Laperrouza et Sylvestre, 2023 ; https://www.editionsepisteme.org/produit/20/9782889156290/course-design). 

 

Objectives and content of the training:

At the end of this training module, participants should be able to:

• Describe the elements and mechanics of the constructive alignment canvas
• (Re-)Design a course based on their vision of teaching and learning
• Apply a process to analyze and improve a course

 

The workshop is structured in 3 parts and covers the following content elements:

1. Vision of teaching and learning

2. Principles of instructional design

• Contextual factors influencing teaching/instructional choices 
• Structuring contents
• Identifying Intended Learning Outcomes
• Choosing instructional strategies
• Assessment of learning

3. The development of teaching
