About this Course
In our work environment and in everyday life, we are constantly in situations where we take decisions that affect others. Unbiased decision-making is a key asset for many reasons including ethical and also from a “business” point of view.
In this course you will learn the key elements that will allow you to understand what implicit biases are, how they come about, how they affect our actions and what we can do to prevent them. After a general section, the focus will be on the implicit biases that can occur in academic recruitment procedures and good practices to avoid them.
Awareness of implicit bias is a key skill for anyone working in diversity contexts. It is an essential foundation for advancing inclusion and non-discrimination.
